This is purely a love story laced with comedy (but comedy is less when compared to the other movies of Shiva-Santhanam Combo). From light-hearted to peppy romantic numbers, Anirudh made the music lovers fall in love with his tunes again.Just now saw the Shiva-Santhanam-Priya Anand starrer "Vanakkam Chennai". His tunes for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, connected with music lovers. He also made a cameo appearance in the film for the song. And again, all the songs were well received, but it does have a unanimous winner: Maari Thara Local.
He followed that with his music for Maari. The song, needless to say, was an instant hit. He had sung the popular Dandanakka song for the film, which was composed by D Imman as a tribute to iconic film actor T Rajendar.
